Expert Witness

When a case turns on the condition, suitability or value of a building, you need an architect who can give a clear, evidence-based opinion and stand behind it. Our Expert Witness team takes pride in a professional and punctual approach, and all of our Expert Witnesses hold the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Certificate, grounding them in the Civil Court system and their duties under Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules.

Our Expert Witness Team

We accept instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors, providing unbiased and impartial assessments whether pre-action, during live litigation, or as Expert Advisors in Mediation, Adjudication and Arbitration.

We accept instructions across three key areas. In Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, we prepare quantum reports on the accommodation needs of people who have been injured and become disabled. For Property Search and Suitability, we provide quantum reports on the costs of purchasing and adapting specific properties, including guidance for the Court of Protection. On Architectural matters, we produce liability and causation reports relating to architectural design, construction contracts and building defects.

Our specialist Claim to Keys service takes cases further still, supporting solicitors, case managers and occupational therapists from the assessment of housing need through to a client’s occupation of their new home. If you are unsure which service fits your case, send us a short summary and we will advise the best next step.
